This Day and Age
This bright, breezy contemporary comedy deals with the “empty-nester’s” greatest nightmare: when the chickens come home to roost!
The show will be performed on the porch surrounding the pool at the home of Dan and Joan Saber, located at 216 W Mansion St. in Marshall (map).
Affluent, newly-widowed and wonderfully politically-incorrect, Marjorie is enjoying life sitting by her pool having imaginary conversations with her dead husband, Jack, when both of her adult children come calling with their spouses in tow. Neither sibling knows the other has the same plan: to come home and live with poor old Mom. Family chaos ensues!
The surprise hit of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s 1995 season, this comedy addresses very real and current issues with crackling wit and sometimes controversial reflections on the American family in “this day and age.” Frothy, sweet and tart – like a slice of lemon meringue pie!
