THE MOST FABULOUS STORY EVER TOLD!
Called “ a testament to the virtues of laughing,” THE MOST FABULOUS STORY EVER TOLD is the retelling of the bible with Adam and Steve (and their lesbian friends, Jane and Mabel) beginning in the Garden of Eden, surviving the centuries including time on the ark, slavery in Egypt and finally life in contemporary New York. Simultaneously campy and thoughtful, Paul Rudnick’s play is a delightful mélange of hilarious one-liners, philosophical introspection and a celebration of the very fabulousness of gay culture (and otherwise) throughout the ages.
As those with very conservative minds like to point out, “God made Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve.”
However, THE MOST FABULOUS STORY EVER TOLD conjures up what it would be like if they were wrong.
